What are some manifestation exercises that I can get started in?

It is important to understand that there is no right or wrong way to get started with manifesting. Work in whatever way feels most comfortable to you. The key is to start with a positive intention and believe that it will come to you when it’s ready.

Doing manifestation exercises also prepares your subconscious mind to actively find and recognise opportunities to accomplish your dreams. It also attracts the right people into your life.

1. Manifestation scripting & Journalling

My favourite way to manifest is this one. As if your manifestation has already arrived, you write or journal about it. Write in the present tense and elaborate on how having your manifestation come to fruition makes you feel, what you’re doing now that it’s real, who’s in your life, and with whom you spend time. You give your manifestation more power the more descriptive and detail-oriented you are.

Simon Slade, a journalist for CNBC, attributed journaling as the key to his success. He says,

I have used journaling extensively and the habit has been integral to my achievements.

He then goes on to say,

Consistent journaling can drive the entrepreneurial process, create new and productive business ideas and help entrepreneurs direct their energy. It’s a habit that anyone aspiring to own a business should take up.

2. Plain old manifestation visualization

You can also manifest your goals by visualizing your desired outcome by closing your eyes and using your imagination.

Studies have shown that visualisation is powerful enough to help people with Generalised Anxiety Disorder by giving them “alternative positive outcomes rehearsed as images or verbal thoughts.” (visualisation). Several weeks after the study was completed, they found that the anxiety and worry levels of all groups had significantly decreased.

Visualizing and feeling the emotions you will feel when your manifestation becomes a reality can help speed up the process. The brain is incapable of telling the difference between the real and the imaginary.

Science Daily shows a study conducted at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where they have discovered that “New brain imaging research shows that imagining a threat lights up similar regions as experiencing it does.” and that “Statistically, real and imagined exposure to the threat were not different at the whole brain level, and imagination worked just as well,”

In other words, when we imagine what it will feel like when our desire comes true, our brain cannot tell if we are actually feeling it or imagining it.

3. Showing Gratitude

The power of this simple yet effective technique cannot be overstated. The more gratitude you show for what you already have, the easier it is to attract new things into your life.

You can boost your vibrational energy by practising gratitude by listing 3-5 things you are grateful for every morning as you wake up, and every evening before you sleep. During this period, your unconscious mind is most receptive to reprogramming. This is especially good if you are experiencing limiting beliefs.

4. Living in the present moment

Sometimes, worrying and overthinking about your goals end up creating negative energy. Focus on present action that contributes to your goals.

A person who lives in the present moment does not worry about the future or stress about the past. All we are doing is being. It is only when we remove the past and future from our lives that we can really appreciate what we have and where we are.

5. Rituals

In order to manifest your goals, you can perform rituals. You can do it however you feel comfortable, there is no right or wrong way. Any object that brings you joy can be used, including crystals, candles, incense, and your favourite objects. The key is to raise your vibration to match what you want to attract.

6. Affirmations

Your manifestations can also be brought about by repeating affirmations throughout the day. It’s like sending an order to the Universe. They are positive statements in the present tense that relate to what you want. For example, I am so grateful to find my dream job which is within walking distance of my home and pays the amount of salary I desire.

There is actually scientific proof that repeating affirmations can actually create new neural pathways in the brain, resulting in “objectively measured behaviour change” and successfully helped people exercise more, and take on other challenges.

The bottom line: Help your subconscious mind believe

The subconscious mind is essential to successful manifestation. The manifestation exercises above help prime your subconscious to be open to success. And remember, manifestation without action or faith doesn’t do you any favours. Create the energy to attract the things you desire and create the life you desire.
